Research and Planning
After detailed meetings with the client established the scope of. Design levers (Who, What, When, Where, Why & How) were used to gather an overall picture of the project. Purpose, goals, target audience and content type was determined.
All the content was gathered from the client side. A detailed desktop research was performed to see the landscape of eco-tourism websites.
Site Map
Using the information gathered from research and planning phase a site map was developed.
All the main topic areas and sub-topics of the site were listed. A consistent and easy to understand navigational system was developed.
Wire frames
Design
Drawing from the information gathered up to this point and keeping in mind the target audience a Tone and a Mood board was developed. Incorporating all the information, UI Design of the website was developed.
On the basis of site mapping and information gathered from the client in the planning phase, a Wireframe of the website was developed.
Wireframing formed the basis of layout design of the website.
Usability Testing
A working prototype design was tested using random people, this gave some interesting feedback and lack of consistency, clarity and usability were some of the areas that were improved after the testing.
